Nembutal(Pentobarbital ) 50mg/ml x 20 ml is a Class II controlled substance, PENTOBARSOL (pentobarbital sodium).
Initially introduced as a sedative and anesthetic, pentobarbital is today most commonly used for euthanasia practices, because it shows unprecedented effectiveness at doses indicated for the latter cause.
Pentobarbital, however, remains used as an anesthetic, in experimental situations, and is used to control seizures that do not respond to other medications.

Nembutal (Pentobarbital) has no taste and no odor.

Nembutal(Pentobarbital ) 50mg/ml x 20 ml is a Class II controlled substance, PENTOBARSOL (pentobarbital sodium) for euthanasia injection and is a highly toxic parenteral solution specially designed for the rapid, painless and humane euthanasia of animals.

Pentobarbital( *Nembuta), the generic form of Nembutal, is a key drug in capital executions in the United States. It is also used in physician-assisted suicides in some European countries and American states.

Dosage and Administration : 

Dosage Considerations – Should be Given as Follows:

Hypnotic

Adult:
– Adult, Initial: 100 mg intravenously (IV) OR 150-200 mg intramuscularly (IM)
– May give small increments of drug after at least 1 minute to reach full effect
– Not to exceed 500 mg
– Pediatric: 2-6 mg/kg IM once; not to exceed 100 mg

Barbiturate Coma
– Load: 10-15 mg/kg intravenously (IV) over 30 min; follow by 5 mg/kg IV every 1 hour for 3 doses
– Maintenance: 1 mg/kg/hour IV; may increase to 2-4 mg/kg/hour

Renal Failure
– Use lower dose

Pre-procedure Sedation, Pediatric
– 2-6 mg/kg intramuscularly (IM), OR
– 1-3 mg/kg intravenously (IV)
– Not to exceed 100 mg IM

Lethal dose with 50mg/ml x 20 ml bottle

The lethal dose of nembutal oral solution varies mainly depending on weight.

This must be accompanied by an antiemetic to prevent vomiting.

For 1 person/animal:
up to 25 kg ——————— 15 ml (1 bottle)
From 26 kg to 50 kg ———– 20 ml (1 bottles)
From 51 kg to 80 kg ———– 35 ml (2 bottles)
From 81 kg to 120 kg ———- 60 ml (3 bottles)
More than 120 kg ————- 90 ml (1 bottles)

This will cause death within 15–30 minutes at most.
